About Me

Hi, my name is Ryan K. Cosner. I am currently wrapping up PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Caltech where I am advised by Prof. Aaron Ames as a member of the AMBER Lab. In the Summer of 2022, I interned with Nvidia's Autonomous Vehicle Research Group where I was advised by Dr. Yuxiao Chen, Prof. Karen Leung, and Prof. Marco Pavone. I received my BS in 2019 from UC, Berkeley where I worked with Prof. Alice Agogino. My main research interests are nonlinear, risk-sensitive control and machine learning and their applications to robots in uncertain, low-data and safety-critical environments.

Outside of research I enjoy giving back to my community, playing music, drawing, and racing triathlons.
